Job Description:
As a Garment Printer at Bahaprintz, you will play a pivotal role in the production of custom apparel, promotional items, and branded clothing for businesses, events, and individual customers. You are tasked with bringing creative concepts to life through visually appealing designs for print production. From collaborating with clients to working closely with our production team, you'll be at the forefront of turning ideas into tangible prints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Preparation:
- Receive digital files or artwork from clients and ensure the design is suitable for printing.
- Adjust or modify designs for size, color matching, or resolution to ensure optimal print quality on the fabric.
Operating and Maintenance of Equipment
- Operate complex machinery like screen printing presses, DTG printers, or heat presses.
- Regular cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting of printers and other machines to avoid downtime and maintain high print quality.
Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency:
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create and manipulate graphics, ensuring high-quality and print-ready output.
- Stay updated on industry trends and design tools to enhance creativity.
Brand Consistency:
- Maintain and uphold brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all design elements.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align designs with overall brand strategy.
Client Interaction:
- Participate in client meetings to understand design preferences, provide creative insights, and present design concepts.
- Iterate designs based on client feedback to achieve desired outcomes.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
- Communicate project progress effectively with project managers and other stakeholders.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that prints are consistent, colors are accurate, and there are no defects such as misprints, smudges, or alignment issues.
- Understand how different fabrics react to inks and printing methods to ensure durable and high-quality results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, preferably in a print or advertising setting.
- Understanding of various printing methods such as screen printing, direct-to-garment (DTG), and heat transfer. Familiarity with different types of inks, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to operate and maintain printing machines such as screen printing presses, DTG printers, and heat presses. Technical aptitude for troubleshooting issues with these machines is a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and styles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics.
